Elon Musk requests no trial before next year over Twitter

Elon Musk has submitted a request to the American judiciary not to hold a trial before next year, in the lawsuit filed by the Twitter platform to force him to buy it on agreed terms, after the social network requested urgent action.

In a court document reported by the American media, lawyers for the Tesla Group chief accuse the Twitter board of working to speed up the case.

On Tuesday, the Twitter board of directors began legal proceedings against Elon Musk, to force him to buy the platform according to the terms agreed with him at the end of April, which estimated the value of the California-based group at $44 billion.

Officials want the trial to begin in September so that the uncertainty that is crippling the company is not so prolonged.

The billionaire asked not to start before February 13 due to the complex nature of the elements to be examined.
